Industrial design is a key force in promoting industrial upgrading and enhancing product competitiveness. On October 22, the promotional conference for the 2024 'Zhengtai Cup' Fourth National Mechanical Industry Design Innovation Competition and the 2024 Shanghai (Songjiang) Industrial Large Model Design Competition was held in Dongjing Town. As the venue for the finals in December, Songjiang District will further gather wisdom from all parties to jointly seek innovative development.

Based on Songjiang's advantages in industrial manufacturing and artificial intelligence, the 2024 Shanghai (Songjiang) Industrial Large Model Design Competition is being launched simultaneously. Through this competition, combined with industrial development needs, Songjiang District will further strengthen the main position of enterprises in technological innovation, accelerate the cultivation of a batch of gazelle and unicorn enterprises that align with Songjiang's industrial development orientation; further enhance cooperation and connection with the China Machinery Industry Federation to accelerate the introduction of various innovative resources, assisting in building high-level innovation platforms in Songjiang District; further explore and improve the 'enterprise proposes topics, government selects topics, research institutions answer questions' model to attract and gather a group of talents with professional capabilities and practical experience. At the same time, it is hoped that through this event, a number of professional technology service institutions will be attracted to register and settle in Songjiang.

Dongjing Town is one of the important industrial bases in Songjiang District and even Shanghai City, as well as the organizer of this competition. A relevant person in charge from Dongjing Town stated that while providing quality service guarantees for the competition, they will also actively undertake the effects of the competition and work with the China Machinery Industry Federation to create a national torch Dongjing artificial intelligence industry base equipment manufacturing major scientific achievement transformation service platform. They strive to build it into a specialized and distinctive major scientific achievement transformation service platform that serves as a 'hub for gathering sci-tech innovation resources', 'demand-driven achievement transformation', and 'integration of technology industry finance', promoting integration innovation among different types of elements in equipment manufacturing industry as well as collaboration between large, medium-sized, and small enterprises to drive significant scientific achievements into reality.

It is reported that this event is co-hosted by the China Machinery Industry Federation and China Machinery Metallurgy Building Materials Union. This industrial design competition targets national mechanical industry enterprises, research institutions, relevant higher education institutions, applied undergraduate colleges, vocational colleges (including technical schools), divided into 13 categories such as automotive, electrical appliances, engineering machinery etc., aiming to strengthen communication cooperation among industry enterprises, research institutions, and schools; enhance AI + industrial design; promote integration development between artificial intelligence and manufacturing industries; accelerate improvement of new quality productivity, design capability and design achievement transformation capability; assist in industry transformation upgrading.

In addition, as a naming unit for this competition and participating enterprise, Zhengtai Electric is a member unit of China Industrial Design Association. Its Zhengtai Low Voltage Intelligent Electrical Research Institute has been rated as a national-level industrial design center with related design patents reaching 560.
