Abstract
The 2024 Equipment Manufacturing Industry Development Conference is being held in Chongqing. It is reported that in the first ten months of this year, the added value of China's machinery industry increased by 5.5% year-on-year, with overall product production and sales remaining stable, and foreign trade developing rapidly, showing a generally positive trend. In terms of production and sales, among the 122 types of machinery products closely monitored by the China Machinery Industry Federation, 72 types saw an increase in output, accounting for 59%, which is better than last year's level; in terms of investment, fixed asset investments in general equipment, specialized equipment, and the automotive industry have all achieved year-on-year growth; regarding foreign trade, in the first ten months, the export value of machinery industry goods reached $710.77 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%, accounting for 24.3% of the national goods trade export value.
